To my knowledge they have never scheduled a two day maintenance before.

The did, and credited the peoples accounts with 2 days of play time when it happened.

Ohh they def did. It was either when BC was coming out or the patch before where they did all the BG stuff. It was down for like i think 3 days actually. 2 days and then crashes and server restarts for a day or so. It will happen to the rest of the servers every week until they do them all.

They did it when they were setting up the battlegroups if I remember.

I just remember it being scheduled for 2 days but was closer to 3, like Slidai said, with all the crashes, etc. Then emergency maintenance to fix what they broke.

Basically they use the US realms to test things on a larger basis on a small group of realms to see if it works. If it doesn't then they realize not to do that to the other 200 realms :p
