Something similar happened to one of my guildies. Even if your life depends on it, never admit or say that anyone else had access to your account, even your little brother or whatever. No one. Blizz will laugh, then tell you that's a violation of the EULA, and so sorry, but you're done with that account 4 eva. Good luck with it though. |

Yes, your account was hacked and the hacker used your account to exploit and farm with apparently, and / or steal / launder gold. This is usually irreversable. The only way you'll get it back is this approach: "I had not been playing for quite some time but left my account active. I must have gotten hacked, and due to my not playing on the account I didn't notice. None of the actions taken were taken by me and nobody else had access to the account at any time other than whoever must have hacked it." |

So out of everyone you know that got their account taken did the email ever say "permanently closed"? I talked to a GM 2 days ago and spoke with Blizzards CS last night before my stuff got deleted. I explained my situation and both people said I have done everything right and there is no reason to worry about any kind of disiplinary action. I am not really concerned about my 3rd phone call to them. My problem however is that word permanently, if that means what I think it means then no ammount of phone calls will get my shit back... |

Perminantly yes. I've heard of it happening to people. It usually results in what i told you. It means unless you give them a compelling reason and a good story that is true or at least believable then the account will be perminantly closed. |

Tell them to get off their lazy asses and pull up the IP log for you account, it should show that atleast two different IP's were used and more than likely they are across the country or even not within the U.S. |
